1. Hidden Veggie Mango Juice
When you want to keep everything as nutritious as possible, hiding vegetables in your juices gets you some great nutrients with a quick delivery that tastes great.
For this, you’re going to want to start with an orange as your base. Add in the juice of one mango. Juice 2 large carrots (or blend with water and strain if your juicer doesn’t accept the carrots) and one peeled zucchini or cucumber.
If this isn’t sweet enough for you, add the juice of half of an apple. This will taste tropical and summer-ready.
2. Juice With a Kick
If you’re looking for a juice that’s popular among detoxers (do juice cleanses work? You’re going to find out), this juice with some “wellness ingredients” might be your answer.
This juice is great for when you have a cold. In theory, it can help your immune system. In practice, it might clear your sinuses.
Blend together your citrus juice of choice (we prefer orange) with the juice of half an apple. If this is too sweet, add in 1 large carrot.
To this, blend in one teaspoon of ginger juice and do a taste test. If you don’t get the “tingly nose” feeling, add another. Then blend in one teaspoon of turmeric.
This juice is a wellness drink that can spice up your day.
3. Hydrating Watermelon Juice
Staying hydrated on hot summer days is essential. What better way to do it than with the most hydrating of fruits?
Watermelon juice is easy. Put about half of a small watermelon into a blender, cut into chunks without the rind. Blend and pour the resulting liquid through a strainer and add lime to taste.
If you need a bit more to your juice (if the watermelon wasn’t as sweet as you’d like) add 2 to 4 strawberries.
Depending on the liquid content of your watermelon, this may make more juice than you’d like. Save the rest for popsicles or freeze it in an icecube tray for smoothies or slushies.
4. Green Juice
There are many ways to make a healthy green juice. This is how you get your vegetables in without sacrificing taste (though unlike the mango juice, you will taste the greens).
Juice one apple. To that, add the juice of one bunch of kale, the juice of a quarter cup of spinach, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and the juice of one stalk of celery. To help mask the taste, add in the juice of half of a peach and a quarter cup of pineapple chunks and taste.
If you need more sweetness, add your sweetener of choice. We like stevia, but honey is also good.
